After a disappointing sophomore year and recovering from stab wounds that required stomach surgery following a late night fight at a campus bar, Wilson lasted just one game last fall. He suffered a neck injury, underwent surgery, wore a neck brace for two weeks and waited nearly a year to get another chance to live up to the expectations for the Illini.
